This message announces the submission requirements for the ABMA Aviation Boatswain’s Mate of the Year (ABOY) and LCDR Regina P. Mills Leadership Award.
These awards recognize Sailors who best represent the Aviation Boatswain’s Mate community through sustained superior performance, command impact, mission contribution, leadership, professionalism, and dedication to self-improvement.
Commands are requested to submit nominations for Pacific and Atlantic Fleet ABOY via electronic copy to the appropriate POC.
Eligibility Criteria:
Early Promote recommendation on most recent evaluation (transfer evals do not count)
Dual warfare qualified
Current ABMA member in good standing
Passed most recent Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA)
Evaluation Period:
01 May 2025 – 01 April 2026
Submission Deadline:
28 April 2026
