Location: University of West Florida, Pensacola, FL
The Aviation Boatswain’s Mates Association (ABMA) will host its 54th Annual Professional Working Group from August 4-8, 2025, at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL.
About the ABMA Professional Working Group
For over 50 years, the ABMA has been the premier forum for Aviation Boatswain’s Mates, driving safety and operational improvements across all aviation flight deck systems. The Professional Working Group (PWG) fosters collaboration between industry leaders, government officials, and fleet experts in key areas, including:
Aircraft Launch & Recovery Systems
Fuel Systems & Refueling Operations
Aircraft Handling & Flight Deck Operations
Firefighting & Emergency Response
The ABMA partnership with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), established in 2013, has led to critical advancements in equipment, training, and operational procedures, significantly enhancing flight deck safety and efficiency.
Your Voice Matters
Each year, workshop results are formally submitted to the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) as actionable recommendations. These inputs help shape future budget decisions, training protocols, and equipment improvements, ensuring fleet-wide operational effectiveness.
