COUNT THE LITTLE THINGS!!!
Shipmates,
Today, I have an urge to send out words to really make us think
about some of the things we take for granted. There is so much going
on in the world and we are constantly going a mile-a-minute and
sometimes we neglect to reflect on the “little things”. We may wake
up out of our beds in the morning cranky and mad at our alarm
clock…there are people that died in their sleep, didn’t wake up and
some didn’t even have a bed to sleep in. Our legs may be aching…but
we have feeling in our legs and some people are paralyzed from the
waist down. We complain about the food, yet we have people dying of
starvation all over the world. Sometimes we have moments which we
complain about our jobs, co-workers or supervisors…there are people
that stand outside temporary job lines and unemployment lines for
hours to make enough money to eat for that day. We may even complain
about going out on deployments…there are people that dream that they
could do what we do by defending freedom and democracy around the
world and visit some of the places we visit. I can go on and on, but
I believe you get the point. We work on the flight deck, below
decks, hangar deck, flight deck control, hangar deck control,
primary flight control, engine rooms and many other places
throughout the ship as well as on shore installations and we have
been very, very successful…let’s keep up the good work and don’t
forget to count the little things.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with
praise: be thankful unto His name. Psalm 100:4
I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be
in my mouth. Psalm 34:1
Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary: praise Him in the
firmament of His power. Psalm 150:1
I recommend, if you have TIME today, to read Psalm 150 in its
entirety.
Feed the Faith and starve the doubt!!!
